The family grave is in St Bartholemews cemetery Roby Lancashire
Samuel(1791-1859) drowned in a ditch in Pilch Lane Roby, coroner reports intoxicated found the following morning
George (1804-1882) lived in Toxteth employed as flat man carrying goods on the Mersey
Samuel(1828-1898) name corrupted to Bloomfield by 1850 and the family retained that spelling up to the present
                                      day. Descendants live in Northwich.

The Broomfield family were Salt Boilers living in Hale Lancashire in
the mid 18th century. Salt being the preservative used for fish and
meat exported from Liverpool before refrigeration. The family could
be migrants from the Cheshire salt fields.
